The benchmark index S&P BSE 500 opened today at 26,730.34 and made its day high at 26,768.94 and it is trading in red, down by around 0.16%                         

From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 5% today.           

Shares of Gland Pharma Limited were trading today with an up move by more than 5.75% on BSE. The scrip closed on Wednesday at Rs 1,546.35 and opened on Thursday at Rs 1,520.05 a piece. Shares touched their day high today at Rs 1,663.40 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 2,606, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 861.50. Presently, promoters are holding a 57.86% stake in the company whereas, the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 26.18% and 15.97%, respectively.                                                                                                           

Another top player today is Amber Enterprises India Limited. Shares were trading today with an up move by more than 7.50% on BSE today. The stock opened today at Rs 2,573.20 a piece and touched its fresh 52-week high today at Rs 2,845.45. The 52-week high of Amber Enterprises India Limited stood at Rs 2,845.45, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 1,762.25. Presently, promoters are holding a 40.32% stake in the company whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 36.86% and 22.84%, respectively.                        

One more top gainer today which shot up by more than 7.80% is Cochin Shipyard Limited. The stock opened at Rs 811.05 and touched its fresh 52-week high today at Rs 904.40 after the surge. On Wednesday the shares closed at Rs 807.65 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 904.40 whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 329.05. Currently, promoters are holding around 72.86% stake in the company whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 8.94% and 18.19%, respectively.
