The benchmark index S&P BSE 500 opened today at 26,920.00 and made its day high at 26,940.50 and it is trading almost flat, down by around 0.04%                        

From the same space, these are the top 3 companies that outperformed the benchmark index and were up by more than 5% today.            

Shares of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilder Limited were trading today with an up move by more than 5% on BSE. The scrip closed on Wednesday at Rs 1,733.20 and opened on Thursday at Rs 1,739.95 a piece. Shares touched their fresh 52-week high today at Rs 1,819.85 after the surge. The 52-week high of the stock stood at Rs 1,819.85, whereas the 52-week low is Rs 264.95. Presently, the promoters are holding 84.83%, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 3.85% and 11.31%, respectively.                                                                                                            

Another top player today is CEAT Limited. Shares were trading today with an up move by more than 5.40% on BSE today. The stock opened today at Rs 2,383 apiece and touched its day high today at Rs 2,550.50. The 52-week high of CEAT Limited stood at Rs 2,640, whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 1,135.90. Presently, the promoters are holding a 47.21% stake in the company whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 36.90% and 15.90%, respectively.                        

One more top gainer today which shot up by more than 8.10% is Hatsun Agro Product Limited. The stock opened at Rs 1,071.05 and touched its day high today at Rs 1,094.90 after the surge. On Wednesday the shares closed at Rs 975.85 a piece. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 1,118.50 whereas the 52-week low stood at Rs 786. Currently, the promoters are holding about 73.11% stake in the company, whereas the institutional and non-institutional holdings are 12.61% and 14.28%, respectively.
