On October 30, 2024, Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the flagship company of the Adani Group, announced its financial results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2024. During the period, AEL witnessed significant growth across various financial metrics, demonstrating the company’s robust operational performance.
During 1HFY25, AEL reported a 14% increase in revenue, reaching ₹49,263 crore. EBITDA saw a remarkable rise of 47%, amounting to ₹8,654 crore, primarily driven by the strong performance of the Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL) ecosystem and the Airports division. Additionally, profit before tax (PBT) surged by 137%, reaching ₹4,644 crore.
During Q2 FY25, AEL’s revenue increased by 15% to ₹23,196 crore. The EBITDA for this period also grew by 46%, totaling ₹4,354 crore, supported by the ongoing success of the ANIL ecosystem and Airports. PBT experienced a remarkable growth of 174%, amounting to ₹2,409 crore.
AEL successfully raised ₹4,200 crore (approximately USD 500 million) through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), attracting interest from both international and domestic investors. Additionally, the company raised ₹800 crore (about USD 100 million) through its inaugural public issuance of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), marking the first public issue by a private corporate in the last decade. AEL’s airport arm, Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (AAHL), secured ₹1,950 crore (around USD 230 million) through NCD issuance, with participation from mutual funds and banks. Furthermore, the road business arm, Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL), raised ₹1,124 crore (approximately USD 130 million) through AAA-rated NCDs, featuring structured maturities of up to 11 years.
In solar manufacturing, module sales exceeded 2 GW during the first six months, with exports increasing by 64% and domestic sales rising by 139% year-on-year. EBITDA margins continued to improve, driven by better realization and operational efficiency from the integrated production of cells and modules.
In wind turbine manufacturing, the 5.2 MW and 3.0 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) using ANIL blades have been listed in the Renewable Lease Model Marketplace (RLMM). A final type certificate for the 3.3 MW WTG has been received, and an application for RLMM listing has been submitted. Additionally, the company achieved a production milestone with the completion of its 300th blade this quarter.
During the quarter, the Navi Mumbai International Airport welcomed its first Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft. The airport expanded its operations by adding six new routes, welcoming six new airlines, and introducing 13 new flights. Notably, Thiruvananthapuram International Airport received accreditation to Level 2 of the Airport Customer Experience Accreditation Programme by ACI, reflecting ongoing improvements in customer experience.
ARTL has received provisional Commercial Operation Date (COD) status for its first Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) project, the “Panagarh-Palsit” project in West Bengal, along with the HAM project “Kodad Khammam” in Telangana.
