On September 23, 2024, Bharti Airtel, a leading telecom company in India, announced that it has significantly boosted its network infrastructure across Gujarat.
Over the past 7 months, Airtel has installed more than 1,700 new cellular towers in the state, averaging over 8 towers per day. This expansion aims to provide residents and businesses with improved access to Airtel’s voice, data, and digital services.
The company is focused on strengthening its rural network in Gujarat, one of its key markets. With this initiative, Airtel plans to extend its coverage to 7,000 villages, benefiting over 5 million people. Airtel’s network now covers urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, including highways, tourist spots, and business centres, ensuring widespread connectivity throughout the state.
To celebrate these achievements, Airtel has launched a new ad campaign featuring popular Gujarati folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, known for his hit song “Khalasi” from Coke Studio Bharat. The ad highlights Gadhvi’s amazement at Airtel’s rapid network expansion, showcasing high-speed connectivity even in the most remote parts of Gujarat. This campaign emphasises Airtel’s commitment to improving its network across the region.
