Apollo Hospitals Partners with Garmin to Boost Health Tracking in India

On Monday, Garmin, a US-based fitness wearables and health tech company, announced a strategic partnership with Apollo HealthAxis, a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, India’s largest hospital chain. This collaboration is set to transform health monitoring and wellness in India by integrating Garmin’s cutting-edge fitness trackers with Apollo Health Plans.

As part of the agreement, signed at the annual Garmin Health Summit in Prague, Apollo HealthAxis will offer Garmin fitness trackers as part of select Apollo Health Plans. This integration will provide users across India with advanced health insights and personalised wellness programs, allowing them to monitor their health more closely and proactively.

In addition, customers who purchase select Garmin fitness devices will gain access to Apollo ProHealth, a personalised health program designed by doctors and powered by AI. This program uses patient data to predict health risks and guide users on their journey toward improved wellness, offering tailored recommendations based on individual health profiles.

Beyond the health monitoring benefits, the partnership also aims to extend healthcare services to underserved rural communities in India. Garmin and Apollo will jointly lead a social responsibility initiative that combines Garmin’s advanced wearable technology with Apollo’s healthcare expertise. This initiative is focused on improving access to quality health monitoring and preventive care for rural populations, where healthcare infrastructure can often be limited.

Commenting on this partnership, the head of B2B Partnerships at Garmin, Juha stated that by integrating their fitness trackers with Apollo’s trusted healthcare services, they are empowering individuals to take control of their health with real-time insights and personalised wellness guidance.
