Ashok Leyland launches a comprehensive insurance policy, Sarathi Suraksha Policy, designed to safeguard the driver community.

The Sarathi Suraksha Policy offers coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per chassis for accidental death and permanent, and partial disability. Additionally, it includes benefits for accidental hospitalisation and offers a special education bonus for children.

Effective from June 1, 2024, this insurance plan is applicable to all Intermediate Commercial Vehicles (ICV), Haulage, and Long Haulage trucks delivered to customers without extra charges. Classified as an “Unnamed GPA (Group Personal Accident) Policy,” the Sarathi Suraksha Policy ensures inclusive protection for drivers operating Ashok Leyland vehicles.

Speaking on this significant launch, the Managing Director and CEO of Ashok Leyland, Mr Shenu Agarwal, said, “At Ashok Leyland, we deeply value the contributions of our drivers to the logistics and transportation sectors. The Sarathi Suraksha Policy underscores Ashok Leyland’s dedication to the health and welfare of drivers, who are pivotal to the transport sector’s growth and advancement.

Recently, in May 2024, Ashok Leyland launched its latest dealership for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) in North Delhi, marking the third such dealership in the city. Operated by the new channel partner VMT Motors LLP, the dealership boasts a comprehensive 3S (Sales, Service, and Spares) facility strategically positioned in Delhi. The facility is well-equipped with cutting-edge tools, featuring 06 service bays and sophisticated infrastructure aimed at delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Currently, the company offers a diverse range of LCV products, including DOST, MiTR, PARTNER and BADA DOST.
