AXISCADES Starts the Delivery of Man Portable Counter Drone Systems to the Indian Army

On June 10, 2024, AXISCADES Technologies Ltd announced in an exchange filing the commencement of delivery for a substantial quantity of Man Portable Counter Drone Systems (MPCDS) to the Indian Army. This contract signifies a significant achievement for AXISCADES as it embarks on providing these pioneering systems, the first of their kind, to be integrated into the Indian Defence Forces.

AXISCADES stated that their Man Portable Counter Drone System emerges as a transformative addition to India’s defence capabilities. Innovatively crafted and entirely indigenous, the MPCDS is compact, portable, and compatible with both battery and main power sources. Encompassing various frequency spectrums, such as Command & Control and Navigation, the system can identify and disrupt an extensive range of drones within a 5-kilometer radius.

The Indian Ministry of Defence and Defence Forces have outlined strategies to strengthen their Counter UAV capabilities through various tenders, including emergency acquisitions, presenting an estimated opportunity of ₹3,000 crore within India alone over the next five years. AXISCADES continues to play a pivotal role in this endeavour, enhancing its counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) solutions with integrated sensors and neutralisation capabilities and positioning itself to seize domestic and global market prospects.

Sharing his thoughts on this key development, the CEO and Managing Director of AXISCADES, Mr Arun Krishnamurthi, said, “This order marks a milestone moment in our commitment to advancing indigenous military technology. We are honoured to contribute to enhancing the defence capabilities of our armed forces with the delivery of the Man Portable Counter Drone Systems. This is the first counter-drone system being inducted into the Indian Defence Forces in the man-portable category, and the system is being deployed at multiple locations across various Command levels in the Indian Army.”
