Bharat Electronics Limited manufactures and supplies electronic equipment and systems to the defence sector. The company was formed under the Ministry of Defence to handle India’s defence electronic needs. Today, it has made a significant announcement regarding significant orders received by the company.

Order Details 

As detailed in the official report, the company has received an order from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd for a value of Rs 695 Crore for the supply of spares related to the missile systems.

Furthermore, the company has also received additional orders worth Rs 339.31 Crore pertaining to the Combat Management System, Composite Communication System, Transmit/Receive Modules, Mobile Autonomous Stabilization System, and other spares/services.

Share Performance 

Today, BEL’s shares commenced trading at Rs 186.60 per share, compared to the preceding day’s closing figure of Rs 186.75 per share. Finally, the company’s shares closed the day at Rs 185.70 per share on the BSE.

The market capitalisation of the company stands at Rs 1,35,742 crore. Additionally, the stock has delivered an impressive return of 80% in the past year and a 318% return in the last three years. The company’s stock is trading at a PE of 40.9 times in the market.

In terms of ownership, the Promoter holds 51.14%. The FIIs and DIIs hold 17.19% and 24.19%, respectively, while the remaining 7.49% is held by public investors, as per the most recent update.

It manufactures electronic products and systems for the army, navy, and air force, offering electronic manufacturing services.
