On December 9, 2024, Bharat Electronics Limited (NSE: BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, announced that it has secured additional orders worth ₹634 crores since its last update on November 8, 2024. Key orders include the maintenance of the Akash Missile System, telescopic sights for guns, communication equipment, jammers, electronic voting machines, test stations, spares, and various services. With these new orders, BEL’s total order intake for the current financial year has now reached ₹8,828 crores.
In the previous update on November 8, 2024, BEL had secured orders valued at ₹500 crores, which included Laser Range Finders, communication equipment, vessel communication and support systems, test equipment for guns, spares, and services.
For Q2 FY25, Bharat Electronics reported a net profit of ₹1,091.3 crore, reflecting a 34.4% year-on-year growth. Revenue for the quarter rose by 15% to ₹4,583.4 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded by over 500 basis points compared to the same period last year, reaching 30.3%. By the end of the quarter, BEL’s total order book stood at ₹74,595 crore.
On December 10, 2024, Bharat Electronics shares opened at ₹317.85 and touched the day high of ₹318.25 at 11:30 AM.
