Brigade Group Launches Brigade Icon Residences on Chennai’s Historic Mount Road

On June 12, 2024, Brigade Group, a leading real estate developer, announced the launch of Brigade Icon Residences, a luxurious mixed-use development on Chennai’s historic Mount Road. To expand its presence, the company plans to invest over ₹8,000 crore in Chennai by 2030, over 15 million sq ft. The residential projects alone are expected to have a Gross Development Value (GDV) of over ₹13,000 crore.

Brigade Icon will be a mixed-use development that includes residential, retail, and office spaces, aiming to set a new standard in urban living. Designed by the internationally acclaimed SOG Design from Singapore, the project will feature a 38-story building with 3, 4, and 5-bedroom apartments starting at 2,500 sqft. The Gross Development Value (GDV) of the residences will exceed ₹1800 crore. The design of Brigade Icon combines modern elements with Chennai’s rich cultural heritage, creating a contemporary structure that reflects the city’s evolving identity.

Brigade Group’s Track Record In Chennai And Upcoming Projects

In Chennai, Brigade Group has completed over 5 million sqft of residential, office, hospitality, and retail real estate. Their flagship project, the World Trade Center Chennai in Perungudi, OMR, is over 90% leased and hosts prominent tenants. Brigade Group has over 15 million sq ft of upcoming projects across all segments, with over 12 million sq ft dedicated to residential spaces. In FY 2025, Brigade plans to launch over 3 million sq ft of residential projects and about 1 million sq ft of commercial developments in Chennai.

We aim to double our growth in the city by expanding all four verticals residential, commercial, retail and hospitality. All sectors are witnessing strong demand, and we believe that our contribution to each of these sectors will make a difference not only to the city but also to the lifestyle of people in the city. We have already signed MoUs with the State Government for four projects as part of their Global Investors Meet, the approvals of which are in process.”
