On July 3, 2024, Club Mahindra announced that its resorts in Kumbhalgarh, Ooty, and Madikeri achieved Platinum certifications from the Indian Green Building Council. The Udaipur resort earned Gold certification. These accolades highlight Club Mahindra’s commitment to sustainability, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2040.

Impressive Scores

The Madikeri resort scored 87 out of 100, demonstrating strict adherence to green standards. The Club Mahindra Resorts in Kumbhalgarh and Derby Green Ooty scored 80 and 82 points, respectively. Club Mahindra Udaipur secured 71 points. All these scores highlight their commitment to environmental sustainability and excellence in eco-friendly hospitality.

Innovative Green Practices at Club Mahindra Resorts

Mahindra Holidays, India’s pioneering hospitality firm to join global RE100 and EP100 initiatives, is dedicated to achieving zero-energy status. Club Mahindra has installed large solar rooftop plants and carports to support this goal. They recycle water extensively, redirecting natural streams to ponds and using rainwater harvesting pits.

Waste management includes a bio-digester that converts food waste to biogas, cutting waste and reducing LPG costs. These efforts underline Club Mahindra’s commitment to sustainability and biodiversity. These initiatives align with their wider goals and affirm their leadership in eco-friendly hospitality, offering guests unparalleled access to stunning global destinations with a clear conscience.
