Diwali will be celebrated on October 31, and the special Diwali Muhurat Trading window will be open from 6 PM to 7 PM on November 1. The stock market will be closed for regular trading due to the Diwali holiday, this special 1-hour session allows investors to trade.
In a circular, the NSE confirmed that the Diwali Muhurat Trading session will run from 6 pm to 7 pm on November 1, and the trade modification deadline will be 7:10 pm. The BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) will also hold a Muhurat Trading session on the same day, though the exact timings have yet to be announced. Trades made during this session will follow the regular trading process, with buyers and sellers responsible for settling their transactions according to standard rules.
Investors often participate in Diwali Muhurat Trading as it is believed to be a lucky time for financial investments, and they tend to buy stocks they believe will bring good returns.
