Gulshan Polyols’ Goalpara plant in Assam receives ₹2/liter bio-ethanol incentive from Assam Government, offering ₹50 crore over three years, enhancing production and operational efficiency.
Gulshan Polyols Limited has received a Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) from the Government of Assam for its 250 KLPD plant located in Goalpara, Assam.
The incentive of ₹2 per litre of bio-ethanol will be applicable for the first three years, beginning prospectively from December 7, 2024. This comes in addition to the benefits of the Assam Ethanol Production Promotion Policy (AEPPP).
The company estimates a total benefit of ₹50 crore over the next three years, further bolstering its commitment to improving operational efficiency and production growth. The Government of Assam’s move underscores its support for industrial growth and fostering an industry-friendly environment in the state.
The incentives will positively impact Gulshan Polyols’ overall performance, enhancing its capacity for producing bioethanol. The plant also aligns with the state’s goal of supporting sustainable industrial practices, with a substantial focus on maize-based ethanol production.
This announcement follows the approval by the Assam Cabinet during its meeting on December 7, 2024, and will be reviewed after three years, based on the availability of maize feedstock locally.
On December 19, Gulshan Polyols share price traded 3.43% higher at ₹181.44 by 12:15 PM on the NSE. The stock opened at ₹176.28, higher than ₹175.42 at the previous close.
