Hero MotoCorp Launches Operations in the Philippines with New Assembly Unit

Hero MotoCorp Limited has announced the launch of its operations in the Philippines, marking a significant step in its global expansion strategy. The company has partnered with Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), part of the Columbian Group of Companies, which is one of the leading automotive groups in the Philippines. TMC will act as the exclusive assembler and distributor for Hero MotoCorp’s products and services, following the partnership announcement made in October 2022.

A new state-of-the-art assembly unit and parts warehouse have been established at Terrafirma Motors Corporation in Laguna, Philippines. Covering over 6,000 square meters, the facility has an annual production capacity exceeding 150,000 units.

The assembly plant will manufacture Hero MotoCorp’s popular and globally recognized motorcycles, including the Xpulse 200 4V, Hunk 160R 4V, and Xoom 110 scooter. Retail operations have also begun, with the Xpulse 200 4V priced at PHP 1,40,000, the Hunk 160R 4V at PHP 99,900, and the Xoom 110 at PHP 69,900. Each vehicle is covered by a 2-year or 24,000-kilometer warranty.

The partnership has established a robust retail network, including sales, service, and spare parts, with over 350 customer touchpoints. There are plans to expand this network rapidly by the end of the year.

Hero MotoCorp now operates in 48 countries and has technology centers in India and Germany, as well as manufacturing facilities in India, Colombia, and Bangladesh.
