Hero MotoCorp Surpasses ₹10,000 Crore Revenue, Sets New Milestones in Q1 FY’25

On August 13, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s leading manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, announced solid financial results for the first quarter of FY 2024-25, covering April to June 2024.

Hero MotoCorp’s revenue from operations surpassed ₹10,000 crore for the first time, reaching ₹10,144 crore in the first quarter, up from ₹8,767 crore last year, marking a 16% growth. The EBITDA margin also improved, standing at 14.4%. The Profit After Tax (PAT) was ₹1,123 crore, a 36% increase from the previous year. The consolidated revenue and PAT for the quarter were ₹10,211 crore and ₹1,032 crore, respectively.

During the quarter, Hero MotoCorp saw positive trends in its domestic, electric vehicle (EV), and global businesses. Retail sales, as tracked by VAHAN, also improved sequentially. The company anticipates continued growth in the coming quarters, driven by positive customer sentiment, good monsoons, and the upcoming festive season. Hero MotoCorp has several new product launches planned in both the internal combustion engine (ICE) and EV categories.

Mr Niranjan Gupta,CEO of Hero MotoCorp, said, “We continue to be on the profitable growth journey, crossing ₹10,000 crore revenue for the first time ever, accompanied by highest ever underlying PAT. As we surge forward, we are investing in long-term capability building to ensure sustained delivery of growth in future.”

Hero MotoCorp launched several key products in Q1 FY 2024-25, including the Splendor+ XTEC 2.0, Harley-Davidson 2024 models, and Xoom Combat edition. The company started delivering its flagship Mavrick 440 nationwide. VIDA V1 achieved record dispatches in electric mobility, and VIDA partnered with Procam International. Globally, Hero opened an assembly facility in Nepal and announced a new plant in Brazil. Hero MotoCorp also joined the ONDC network, earned Zero-Waste-to-Landfill certification, and won environmental awards. CSR initiatives included training women as technicians and promoting road safety. The Hero MotoSports team secured podium finishes in multiple international rallies.
