The primary capital market has been experiencing an outstanding year, with 43 mainboard companies launching public issues so far. These initial public offerings have raised an amount of about $9.7 billion in a period of nine months.
Considering the time frame, this record-setting amount is the highest ever in the past 20 years. In native currency, this amount translates to Rs. 78520 crores.

In the third quarter of 2021 (July-September), Zomato took the first spot by raising Rs. 9375 crores via its initial public offering. This amount is also the highest one in the current calendar year.
Nuvoco Vistas Corporation took the second spot by raising a fund of Rs. 5000 crores, followed by Chemplast Sanmar with Rs. 3850 crores.
