At 3 pm, the shares of Interglobe Aviation were trading at Rs 2528.25, up by 2.68% from its previous closing of Rs 2462.25 on the BSE. 

InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) has added Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, as the 27th international and 105th overall destination in the 6E network. The airline opened bookings for daily non-stop flights between Mumbai, India’s financial capital, and Nairobi, Kenya’s largest city starting August 5, 2023. 

This new route marks IndiGo’s entry into the African subcontinent and brings numerous benefits to both business and leisure travellers. It represents a significant stride in IndiGo’s international expansion strategy, as it strengthens strategic ties, trade, and travel routes between the two countries, thereby promoting economic growth. 

Enhanced accessibility will benefit business travellers and boost tourism, cultural exchanges, and collaboration in various fields. It marks an important milestone in the India-Kenya relationship and demonstrates the shared commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships for growth and development. 

Interglobe Aviation Ltd (Indigo) is India’s largest passenger airline operating as a low-cost carrier. Serving 86 destinations including 24 international destinations, it provides passengers with a simple, unbundled product, fulfilling its singular brand promise of providing “low fares, on-time flights, and a courteous and hassle-free service” to its customers. IndiGo commenced operations in August 2006 with a single aircraft and has grown its fleet to 300 aircraft. 

On Tuesday, the scrip opened at Rs 2460 and touched a high and low of Rs 2546.05 and Rs 2460, respectively. 

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value of Rs 10 has touched a 52-week high and low of Rs 2,546.05 and Rs 1572.60, respectively. 

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 2,546.05 and Rs 2431.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 97427.75 crore. 

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.93% and 2.21% respectively.
