Infosys Limited announced that it has expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA to develop AI-powered, customer-centric solutions aimed at driving innovation and operational excellence for telecommunications companies.

Utilising Infosys Topaz, an AI-first suite of services, solutions, and platforms powered by generative AI technologies, this partnership will enable telcos to enhance customer experiences, streamline network operations, and accelerate service delivery.

Infosys has introduced three generative AI solutions, all powered by Infosys Topaz and incorporating NVIDIA technologies such as NIM inference microservices, NeMo Retriever embedding models, and NeMo Guardrails for customising and deploying telco-specific LLM models. Additionally, Infosys Topaz uses NVIDIA Riva to build real-time conversational AI pipelines, which facilitate real-time transcription and translation for call centre agents.

TOSCA network service design solution uses NVIDIA generative AI to create and customise TOSCA templates, streamlining the network service design process. By incorporating NVIDIA NIM and NeMo Retriever, it has achieved a 28% reduction in latency and a 15% improvement in accuracy. Smart networking operating centre powered by NVIDIA generative AI, this tool enables network engineers to troubleshoot issues more quickly and accurately, resulting in 61% lower latency and a 22% improvement in accuracy. Infosys Cortex is a generative AI-driven platform for contact centre transformation, Infosys Cortex, combined with Infosys Cobalt, offers realistic customer simulations for immersive agent training.

These solutions promise significant benefits, including improved operational efficiency, productivity gains, and enhanced training experiences for contact centre agents, all while optimising the generative AI pipeline and reducing inference costs.

Commenting on the collaboration, the EVP and Global Industry Leader of Communications, Media and Technology at Infosys, Anand Swaminathan, said, “Through our collaboration with NVIDIA, we are poised to unlock cutting-edge enterprise AI capabilities, helping global organisations improve business efficiency. By integrating NVIDIA’s advanced AI technologies with Infosys Topaz, we aim to transform network service design, NOC operations, and contact centre functionalities. It will also help ensure the safe and responsible deployment of AI. This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to drive innovation and operational excellence for our customers.”

The Senior Vice President of Telecom at NVIDIA, Ronnie Vasishta, said, “Telcos are increasingly adopting generative AI solutions to improve the productivity of their businesses with smarter networks, more efficient operations, and enhanced customer service. Leveraging NVIDIA’s full-stack accelerated computing and AI platform, Infosys Topaz is delivering a suite of domain-specific solutions that will help telcos accelerate and streamline their adoption of generative AI.”
