Infosys Ltd’s North America-based subsidiary, Infosys Public Services (IPS), has announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Delaware Department of Labor to revitalise the state’s unemployment insurance tax, benefits, and appeals programs.

Additionally, Infosys Public Services will develop a new system for the paid family medical leave program. Delaware plans to utilise the Infosys LaborForce solution to enhance key labour programs and deliver greater value to its constituents.

The company stated that the existing legacy systems in Delaware are experiencing operational inefficiencies and customer service challenges that hinder the timely delivery of critical services. The Infosys LaborForce, a Salesforce-based enterprise labour system, will enable the Department of Labor to provide top-notch customer service while integrating unemployment insurance and paid family medical leave programs. As a cloud-native solution, Infosys LaborForce meets most state requirements out of the box, leveraging the Salesforce CRM and Low/No Code platform for accelerated development.

Infosys LaborForce harnesses the proven Salesforce platform to deliver industry-leading performance, improve employee experience, enhance efficiency, and introduce new capabilities. The solution will also empower the agency to support new programs and functionalities, enabling rapid adaptation to changing economic conditions.

Furthermore, Infosys LaborForce will bolster the Department of Labor’s capacity to anticipate and respond to data security threats and manage access, thus improving system security and reducing fraud.

They added that the project has officially commenced, and implementation is underway. The Delaware Department of Labor is also utilising the Project Management Office (PMO) and other IT services from CAI, a global services firm, to ensure a smooth implementation process. Infosys Public Services is enthusiastic about collaborating with CAI and looks forward to a productive partnership.

The company stated that this solution has the potential to change the way the industry delivers its labour functions and sets a new bar for customer service with Salesforce. The solution, to be deployed by Infosys Public Services for the Delaware Department of Labor, will allow its divisions to access a single set of consolidated information across its enterprise and provide multi-channel access to accurate information to its constituents.

The President and CEO of Infosys Public Services, Lax Gopisetty, said, “We are honoured and excited to work with the Delaware Department of Labor and help them navigate their implementation journey with Infosys LaborForce. The solution has been designed by Infosys Public Services’ National Labor Practice with experts who have helped modernise labour systems in 20+ states. We look forward to leveraging our extensive experience in enabling Delaware to build a future-resilient system and serve their residents more efficiently.”
