ITC Hotels Partners with Dangayach Group for Storii Resort in Jaisalmer

On May 29, 2024, ITC Hotels, a division of ITC Ltd, announced a management agreement with the Jaipur-based Dangayach Group for a property under the Storii brand in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

According to the company, Storii by ITC Hotels in Jaisalmer will be a 119-key resort situated east of the city on the Jodhpur-Jaisalmer Road. This resort will have a bar, restaurant, and about 7,000 sq ft of banquet and meeting space.

Jaisalmer, one of Rajasthan’s largest tourism districts, is often highlighted as a “must-visit” destination in the state’s desert circuits. The city boasts a rich blend of art, architecture, hospitality, scenic beauty, and cuisine.

Famous for its unique desert safaris featuring camel rides, cultural performances, and adventure activities, Jaisalmer attracts numerous visitors. ITC Hotels stated that the hotel’s ‘plush’ interiors and ‘elegant’ décor will reflect the city’s cultural significance, representing the essence of the Storii brand.

The Chief Executive of ITC Hotels, Anil Chadha, says the project is a ‘tremendous’ leap, enabling a swift entry into a highly visible and popular leisure market with the Storii brand.

He stated, “We already have over 800 keys across various brands in Rajasthan, including hotels in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Khimsar, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur. Storii Jaisalmer will allow us to provide another unique destination experience in the Rajasthan desert circuit.”

Commenting on this agreement, Harimohan Dangayach, the Chairman and Founder, and Atul Dangayach, the Managing Director of Dangayach Group, said, “We are delighted to sign Storii for our latest resort project in Jaisalmer. The resort’s positioning in a strong leisure market aligns well with the unique positioning of the brand Storii supplemented with the operational strength of ITC Hotels.
