K.P. Energy Limited announced the successful commissioning of an additional 23.1MW (Phase-X) of its ISTS-connected Wind Power Project at the Sidhpur site in Devbhoomi Dwarka. This new phase comprises 11 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) of 2.1MW each. This achievement is part of the larger 250.8MW ISTS-connected Wind Power Project awarded to Apraava Energy Private Limited by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) under Tranche-VIII bidding.
K.P. Energy is developing this project for Apraava Energy Private Limited under a Land and Balance of Plant Contract. The completion of Phase X brings the total cumulative capacity commissioned at the Sidhpur site to 245.7 MW. This includes previous phases with capacities of 52.5MW, 29.4MW, 25.2MW, 21MW, 10.5MW, 25.2MW, 29.4MW, 16.8MW, 12.6MW, and now 23.1MW, against the total awarded capacity of 250.8MW. Earlier this year, in April, the company announced that it had received a new order for the development of a 9MW wind power project forming part of the wind-solar hybrid power project to be developed in Gujarat. This project was awarded by Bhathwari Technologies Private Limited to the company under the Captive Power Project segment. The Project shall be connected to the State Transmission Utility (STU) network. The project includes both supply and service for the development of the project on a turnkey basis. It is scheduled to be completed in the financial year 2024-25.
