Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) has announced the acquisition of new orders and notifications of awards totalling ₹1,241 crore.

These orders span across the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business in both domestic and international markets, as well as residential and commercial building projects in India. This recent success highlights KPIL’s robust business momentum and strengthens its order book.

According to Manish Mohnot, Managing Director and CEO of KPIL, the company’s order inflows have now surpassed ₹11,000 crore year-to-date (YTD), with around 80-85% of the new orders, including L1, being from the T&D and Buildings & Factories (B&F) segments. Mohnot expressed confidence in KPIL’s ability to achieve sustainable growth and profitability, driven by its proven capabilities, strong track record, and leading market position in these key business areas.

Earlier in September 2024, the company secured new orders and awards worth ₹2,774 crore. These orders were comprised of Transmission & Distribution projects in international markets, an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project for airport extension from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), and a design-and-build project for a residential building in India. These recent wins demonstrate KPIL’s strong presence and competitive edge in the infrastructure and construction sectors.

In Q1 FY25, KPIL’s revenue increased by 8.2% year-on-year to ₹4,587 crore, primarily driven by its T&D and B&F businesses. The company’s EBITDA stood at ₹378 crores, with a margin of 8.2%. The EBITDA margin experienced a decline due to changes in the project mix and investments in resource augmentation to support future project execution. However, KPIL’s Profit After Tax (PAT) for Q1 FY25 amounted to ₹84 crore.

With a solid order book and continued success in securing large-scale projects, KPIL is well-positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities in the infrastructure, transmission, and distribution sectors.
