Last Mile Enterprises Limited, through its subsidiary Damson Technologies, announced the inauguration of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This landmark move highlights the company’s dedication to supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative while advancing its footprint in the smart accessories market.

The news sent ripples through the stock market, with the share price of Last Mile Enterprises hitting an upper circuit of 5% on the BSE. Investors reacted positively to the company’s long-term growth strategy.

A Robust Investment Plan

The new factory represents an impressive investment of Rs 200 crore, which will be implemented in three phases:

  • Rs 30 crore was allocated to optimizing the manufacturing process.
  • Rs 60 crore was set aside for advanced machinery.
  • Rs 110 crore for infrastructure development.

This phased approach aims to enhance production capacity, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency.

Scaling Production Capacity

The facility has started operations with six assembly lines under phase 1, producing 3 lakh units monthly. In phase 3, this will scale to 20 assembly lines with a capacity of 10 lakh units per month, targeting both domestic and international markets. The product lineup includes:

  • TWS earbuds and other personal audio devices.
  • Gaming accessories like AirPods and sports trackers.
  • Home entertainment systems.

The company has set an ambitious revenue target of Rs 500 crore for the upcoming fiscal year.

Economic Impact and Innovation

This project is expected to create 500 jobs, contributing significantly to the local economy in Ahmedabad. The facility is also at the forefront of technological innovation, with a dedicated $10 million R&D fund. The focus is on integrating AI-powered products, app-based controls, and voice assistance.

Global Ambitions

The factory will cater to growing international demand from regions like the USA, UK, and UAE, reducing reliance on imports and positioning Damson Technologies as a global player. By leveraging local manufacturing, the company aims to ensure cost efficiencies and competitive export pricing.

With its advanced facility and strategic initiatives, Damson Technologies is poised to capture a 3-4% market share in India’s mobile accessories and personal audio sectors.
