LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India) made several strategic moves in Q2 of FY25, adjusting its portfolio by increasing its stake in key stocks. The insurer’s total shareholding in NSE-listed companies decreased slightly from 7.51% in Q1 FY25 to 7.34% in Q2 FY25.

  • Bank of Maharashtra
    LIC raised its stake in the Bank of Maharashtra from less than 1% in Q1 FY25 to 4.05% in Q2 FY25.
  • Container Corporation of India
    The corporation’s holding increased from 6.07% in Q1 FY25 to 8.42% in Q2 FY25.
  • IndusInd Bank
    LIC’s shareholding in IndusInd Bank grew from 2.24% in Q1 FY25 to 4.36% in Q2 FY25.
  • Dalmia Bharat
    LIC raised its stake in Dalmia Bharat from 3.23% in Q1 FY25 to 5.09% in Q2 FY25.
  • IDFC First Bank
    LIC increased its holding in IDFC First Bank from under 1% in Q1 FY25 to 2.68% in Q2 FY25.

  • Patanjali Foods
    LIC’s stake in Patanjali Foods rose from 2.06% in Q1 FY25 to 3.72% in Q2 FY25.
  • Shyam Metalics & Energy
    The holding in Shyam Metalics & Energy grew from under 1% in Q1 FY25 to 2.49% in Q2 FY25.
  • SRF
    LIC increased its stake in SRF from 3.4% in Q1 FY25 to 4.72% in Q2 FY25.
  • Cyient
    The holding in Cyient rose from less than 1% in Q1 FY25 to 2.17% in Q2 FY25.
  • General Insurance Corporation of India
    LIC raised its stake in General Insurance Corporation of India from 8.66% in Q1 FY25 to 9.81% in Q2 FY25.
