Mahindra Launched Mahindra ZEO: Share Price Dropped ~1%

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), India’s leading electric 3-wheeler manufacturer and a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, has announced the launch of the Mahindra ZEO, an innovative new electric four-wheeler through an exchange filing on October 03, 2024.

The name “ZEO”, which stands for “Zero Emission Option,” aligns perfectly with MLMML’s mission to electrify last-mile transportation and empower customers in their daily lives.

Available in two variants, the Mahindra ZEO is designed specifically to meet the changing needs of urban logistics. Priced competitively from ₹ 7.52 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), it allows customers to save up to ₹ 7 lakh over seven years compared to a diesel small commercial vehicle (SCV).

Powerful Performance

The Mahindra ZEO features an efficient high-voltage 300+ V architecture, providing excellent energy efficiency, extended range, and quicker charging times. Its advanced Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor  generates 30 kW of power and 114 Nm of torque, backed by a robust 21.3 kWh liquid-cooled battery for impressive performance.

Longer Range

With a real-world driving range of 160 km, the ZEO’s efficiency is further enhanced by a regenerative braking system. The vehicle offers two driving modes—Eco and Power—to optimize range and minimize turnaround times. When paired with a DC fast charger, it can achieve a 100 km range in just 60 minutes. Various charger configurations are available, including a standard onboard 3.3 kW unit.

The ZEO’s IP67-rated battery pack complies with the highest AIS038 high-voltage battery safety standards, while its motor also holds an IP67 rating for optimal safety. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with Hill Hold Assist to prevent rolling on inclines. Its 2500 mm wheelbase ensures stability under various driving conditions, and a 180 mm ground clearance allows it to tackle. even the toughest roads. Designed with safety in mind, the semi-forward cabin enhances visibility, while the durable 5.6 m³ factory-fitted delivery van box securely contains cargo.
