Marico Share Price Up by 3%; Reports 20% Profit Surge in Q2 FY25 Earnings

Marico Limited has released its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2024. On Wednesday, Marico’s share price grew by more than 3%.
Q2 FY 2025 Financial Performance
For Q2 FY25, the company reported revenue from operations of ₹2,664 crore, reflecting an 8% year-on-year increase. This growth was supported by an underlying volume growth of 5% in its domestic business and an impressive constant currency growth of 13% in its international operations.
The company’s profit also saw a significant rise, climbing 20% year-on-year to ₹423 crore, compared to ₹353 crore in the same quarter last year (Q2 FY24). The EBITDA margin for the domestic segment stood at 20.1%, a decline of approximately 150 basis points (bps) year-on-year, while the international business improved its EBITDA margin to 27.0%, an increase of about 190 bps year-on-year.
H1 FY 2025 Financial Performance
For the first half of FY25, Marico’s revenue from operations totalled ₹5,307 crore, up from ₹4,953 crore in H1 FY24, marking a year-on-year growth of 7%. The profit after tax (PAT) for the same period was ₹887 crore, an increase from ₹780 crore in H1 FY24, reflecting a 14% year-on-year growth.
Future Outlook
Looking ahead, Marico remains optimistic about its future trajectory. The encouraging demand trends observed in the first half of the year suggest continued growth potential in the latter half. Contributing factors include the above-normal monsoon season, increased government budgetary allocations aimed at enhancing the rural economy, and the approaching festive season, which typically boosts consumer spending. However, the company will closely monitor elevated food and retail inflation, which could impact its performance in the near term.
Marico Share Price Performance
On October 30, 2024, Marico share price opened at ₹668.00, up from its previous close of ₹629.15. At 10:33 AM, the share price of Marico was trading at ₹650.30, up by 3.36%.
