Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited (MSWIL) reported its financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, which concluded on 30th June 2024.
In the first quarter of FY25, Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited (MSWIL) reported revenues of ₹2,185 crore, marking a 17% year-over-year growth. The EBITDA stood at ₹239 crore, up by 15%, and the PAT reached ₹149 crore, reflecting a 21% increase compared to the previous year.
Motherson Sumi Wiring India (MSWIL) experienced strong year-over-year revenue growth, driven primarily by increased volumes and enhanced content due to automotive megatrends. The company’s performance remained robust despite the temporary impact of higher raw material prices and start-up costs, which were mitigated through operational efficiencies.
One of the 2 greenfield plants began operations in July 2024 and is currently ramping up, while the second plant is expected to commence by the first quarter of FY26. MSWIL is integral to India’s top-selling passenger vehicles, both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) models, with electric vehicle (EV) revenue growing by 50% year-over-year. The company continues to focus on financial prudence, maintaining its debt-free status.
