NBCC awarded with Rs. 1261 crore project:

A branch of the state-owned National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) (India) Limited, formerly known as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Darbhanga in Bihar, has been given the contract to construct the facility. This news comes a few days after Union Health Minister JP Nadda declared that construction would soon begin.

To build Aiims in Darbhanga, 140 km northeast of the country’s capital Patna, NBCC’s HSCC has signed an agreement worth Rs 1,261 crore. The agreement’s details were disclosed by NBCC in a regulatory filing on Monday.

A total of 182 acres of land have been set aside for the AIIMS-Darbhanga project’s development. According to a press release, the Union Cabinet approved the Rs 1,264 crore budget for Aiims Darbhanga on September 15. The Center will provide all of the funding for the hospital. In addition to the hospital, the complex will have a residential complex, allied facilities and services, and a teaching block for medical and nursing courses.

Facilities and employment at the AIIMS hospital:

The proposed plan anticipates that the aforementioned establishment will have 750 beds. About 3000 people are anticipated to be employed by the institute in a variety of faculty and non-faculty roles.
