Ola Electric, India’s largest pure-play electric vehicle (EV) company, has launched the ‘BOSS of All Savings’ campaign as part of its ongoing Biggest Ola Season Sale (BOSS). This initiative aims to highlight the growing consumer awareness of the savings and benefits associated with electric vehicles (EVs) compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. The campaign offers customers an opportunity to save up to ₹15,000 on the purchase of an Ola S1 and an additional ₹30,000 annually through lower running and maintenance costs.
The Ola S1 X (2kWh) model, for example, can save customers up to ₹31,000 annually if they commute 30 km daily, enabling them to recover the vehicle’s cost within the first few years of ownership. This reinforces the financial advantages of switching to electric mobility, especially with the long-term savings on operational expenses.
To further drive EV adoption, Ola Electric is organizing Educational Clinics at its stores across India. These clinics aim to educate customers on the total cost of ownership (TCO), as well as the superior performance and advanced technology features of the Ola S1 portfolio. The company seeks to demonstrate how the Ola S1’s value proposition compares favourably to traditional ICE vehicles.
In October 2024, Ola Electric achieved a significant milestone by selling over 50,000 units and registering 41,605 units, according to Vahan data. This remarkable achievement solidified its leadership in the EV two-wheeler segment. With a 30% market share and a year-on-year growth of 74% over October 2023, Ola Electric continues to dominate the EV 2W market in India.
The company offers a diverse S1 portfolio, featuring six models across a range of price points to cater to different customer needs. The premium models, S1 Pro and S1 Air, are priced at ₹1,34,999 and ₹1,07,499, respectively, while the more affordable S1 X portfolio offers options at ₹74,999, ₹87,999, and ₹1,01,999 for the 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh variants, respectively.
Ola Electric has also launched the #HyperService campaign, aiming to expand its service network to 1,000 centres by December 2024. As part of this initiative, the company has introduced the Network Partner Program, which will extend its sales and service presence across India, to reach 10,000 centres by the end of 2025. Ola Electric is also training 1 lakh third-party mechanics to ensure every mechanic in India is EV-ready, further boosting the country’s electric mobility infrastructure.
At its annual ‘Sankalp’ event in August 2024, Ola Electric introduced its Roadster motorcycle series, which includes the Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro models. These motorcycles come with a range of segment-first technology and performance features, with prices starting from ₹74,999 for the Roadster X, ₹1,04,999 for the Roadster, and ₹1,99,999 for the Roadster Pro. This launch marks Ola Electric’s continued expansion into the electric two-wheeler and motorcycle market in India.
