On August 28, 2024, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd shared its financial results for the fiscal year and quarter ending June 30, 2024.

Despite facing a tough operating and competitive environment, the company reported sales of ₹4,192 crore, a 7% increase from the previous year. Innovation, premium products, and the expansion of the feminine hygiene category drove this growth. For the fiscal year, Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹675 crore, remaining flat compared to the previous year due to the significant impact of one-time tax-related items in both the current and base periods.

Excluding these one-time effects, operational profit was ₹809 crore, showing a 19% increase compared to last year.

In the last quarter, the company achieved strong sales growth of ₹927 crore, up 9% from the same period last year. Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was ₹81 crore, which reflects increased spending to boost demand through innovation in healthcare and feminine care products.

The company’s business continues to expand, driven by a strong range of products, effective consumer communication, and ongoing product innovations. This includes Vicks Cough Drops Double Power, which provides more effective and longer-lasting relief from sore throats, and the new Whisper Ultra XL for Heavy Flow, which offers leakage and stain prevention along with comfort during heavy flow days, thanks to its unique cushion core technology and cotton-like soft top layer. Other innovations include Vicks VapoRub Steam Pods for easy, on-the-go relief from headaches, Vicks Roll On, Whisper Period Panties, and more.

Throughout the year, the company has supported the P&G group’s flagship CSR initiative, P&G Shiksha, benefiting the communities it serves. Since its beginning, P&G Shiksha has supported thousands of schools and communities, impacting over 4.5 million children. Over time, P&G Shiksha has grown into a comprehensive educational program addressing three key barriers to universal education: access to educational infrastructure, inequality in education access, and learning gaps.
