On Friday, both Sensex and Nifty recovered from their counting-day losses. The market also closed at its highest level.

On June 7, 2024, the Nifty 50 rose 2.05% and closed at 23,290, and the Sensex increased 2.16%, closing at 76,693.

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty IT, Nifty Auto, Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Metal ended in the green. Meanwhile, no sector was seen falling. The top gainers were Mahindra & Mahindra, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Tata Motors, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance, Tata Consumer Products, Zomato and Bosch were the top losers of the day.

Tata Chemicals and Wipro were in the news on June 7, 2024.

UK court has imposed penalty charges on Tata Chemicals. After this news, the company’s share price dropped by 0.24%.
Wipro has won a deal worth 500 million dollars. After this news, the company’s share price rose by 5%.
