The Nifty 50 reached a new record high during the day. The markets were in favour of gainers - around 2,308 shares advanced, while 1,130 declined and 79 were unchanged.

On June 12, 2024, the Nifty 50 rose 0.25% and closed at 23,322, and the Sensex dropped 0.20%, closing at 76,606.

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty Media, Nifty Media, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Mid Small Healthcare, and Nifty Oil and Gas ended in the green. Meanwhile, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Realty fell. The top gainers were Ambuja Cements, Jio Financial Services, Bank of Baroda, and Coal India, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, Pidilite Industries, Marico, Zomato, and United Spirits Limited were the top losers of the day.

Shipping Corp of India and TVS Supply Chain Solutions were in the news on June 12, 2024.

Shipping Corp of India received an approval waiver for stamp duty from the Maharashtra Government as the company’s strategic sale is likely to take off soon. As a result, the share price rose 7.5%.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions signed a 5-year strategic agreement with Daimler Truck South East Asia, a Daimler Truck AG subsidiary.
