On April 03, 2024, the Nifty 50 dropped by 18.60 points to 22,434, and the Sensex fell by 27.09 points to 73,876. Foreign investors sold shares worth around ₹2,213  crores, while domestic investors bought shares worth ₹1,102 crores. 

Top Gainers and Losers

On the sectoral front, Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty IT, Nifty Media, and  Nifty Bank closed in green, while Nifty Realty, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Healthcare and Nifty Pharma declined. The top gainers were PNB, Varun Beverages, Adani Power and Shriram Finance, which showed positive movement. On the other hand, DLF, Torrent Pharma, Nestle and Zomato were the top losers of the day.

Stocks In The News

MOIL and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders were in the news on April 3, 2024.

  • The shares of MOIL rallied 5% after the company reported production growth of 35% on a YoY basis to 17.5 lakh tonnes.
  • Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders rose 12% on April 03, 2024. On technical charts, the stock has been in an oversold zone over the past few days. However, as per experts, an upward trend can be seen in the stock.
