PVR INOX Limited, the largest cinema exhibitor in India, has announced the opening of a new 7-screen multiplex at Mohali Walk, Sector 62, Mohali, Punjab. This launch introduces the city’s first 4D cinema experience, blending cutting-edge technology and premium cinematic features to redefine the movie-watching experience for local audiences.
The newly opened multiplex boasts an innovative 4D auditorium that elevates the cinematic experience by combining on-screen visuals with synchronized motion seats and environmental effects like water, wind, fog, and scent. Additionally, the cinemas are equipped with 4K laser projection, providing vibrant colors, enhanced screen brightness, and crystal-clear images. Advanced Dolby 7.1 audio and Next-Gen 3D technology further enhance the movie-going experience, setting a new benchmark for cinema in Mohali.
Located near the PCA Stadium in Mohali, the multiplex has a seating capacity of 1,022. Each auditorium is designed with last-row plush recliners, allowing viewers to enjoy a luxurious and comfortable movie-watching environment. The multiplex’s sophisticated interiors feature a visually dazzling gold and black metal theme, opulent tile cladding, and modern design elements that amplify its premium appeal.
With this latest addition, PVR INOX now operates 90 screens across 17 properties in Punjab and continues to expand its footprint in the Northern region of India. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Ajay Bijli, Managing Director of PVR INOX, highlighted the potential of the Punjab market and expressed confidence in the new cinema’s ability to meet the evolving demands of moviegoers in the region.
Since the merger, PVR INOX has opened 245 screens across 41 properties in 27 cities, and the company shows no signs of slowing down. PVR INOX remains focused on expanding its network and bringing the latest in cinema technology to more cities, reinforcing its position as the leader in India’s film exhibition industry.
