RITES Ltd and DMRC Sign MoU for Global Metro Rail System Projects

On June 13, 2024, RITES Ltd, a premier transport infrastructure consultancy, announced in a stock exchange filing that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC). This strategic partnership focuses on comprehensive operations and management projects of Metro Railway Systems, including Rolling Stock, Depot Management, Station Management, and the maintenance of Railway Infrastructure both in India and internationally.

The collaboration between RITES and DMRC aims to streamline the process for jointly exploring, identifying, securing, and executing consultancy assignments for operations and management of Metro, Light Rail Transit (LRT), and Mass Rapid Transit Systems. This partnership is poised to leverage the combined strengths of both organisations, enhancing their business capabilities and operational efficiency.

Earlier this month, RITES Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Eastern Railway’s Andal Diesel Shed, Asansol Division, West Bengal. This MoU sets up a framework for collaboration on major schedule repair and maintenance of Diesel-Electric Locomotives owned by RITES and other clients at the Andal Diesel Shed facility.

RITES stated that its collaboration with Andal Diesel Shed aims to streamline the process of jointly exploring, identifying, securing, and executing consultancy assignments for the operations and management of Metro, Light Rail Transit (LRT), and Mass Rapid Transit Systems both in India and abroad. As part of this partnership, DMRC and RITES will work closely together, leveraging their respective strengths to enhance business capabilities.
