Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd (ROHL) has announced the signing of a new 5-star resort in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

This resort, located near Pula Mangra village, will offer stunning views of Rajasthan’s rugged landscape and is easily accessible from Udaipur City and Maharana Pratap Airport. It marks ROHL’s 11th hotel in Rajasthan and will be branded as a ‘Regenta Resort’ property.

The resort will blend luxury and comfort, drawing inspiration from the traditional forts of Rajasthan. It will be built on varied terrain, including the Malwa Plateau, Vindhyachal Hills, and Aravalli Mountain ranges, providing a unique hospitality experience for all types of travellers. Guests can choose from 51 well-furnished rooms and suites, enjoy meals at a multi-cuisine restaurant, work out in a modern gym, relax by the swimming pool, and let their children play in a designated area. The resort will also feature a large banquet space of over 6,800 sq. ft. and beautiful green lawns, making it perfect for corporate events and celebrations.

Tourism is vital to Rajasthan’s economy, contributing 14% to its GDP, with Udaipur being a major tourist hub due to its scenic lakes and royal palaces. Rajasthan, the largest state in India, offers diverse landscapes, including deserts, mountains, and lakes, along with the UNESCO-listed Hill Forts of Rajasthan, which are found in cities like Chittorgarh, Jaipur, and Jaisalmer. The resort’s location near popular tourist sites like Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary and Chittorgarh Fort will attract visitors interested in exploring the region’s rich history and architecture.

Speaking about the signing, Chander K Baljee, Chairman and Managing Director of ROHL, said, “Rajasthan has become a prominent wedding destination in recent years, which has contributed to a significant increase in tourism. In 2023, the state of Rajasthan received 179 million domestic and 1.7 million international visitors, according to a report by the Rajasthan Tourism Department.”

He further added, “The state has conferred tourism industry status, improved rural tourism, and revised heritage policies in order to capitalise on this potential. The signing of the new property is a significant milestone and a testament to our consistent presence in this vibrant region and aligns with our strategy of being present in all significant markets of this promising state.”

The signing of this new property is part of ROHL’s plans to expand its presence in India, offering hotels in various categories, from upscale to budget-friendly options. ROHL will manage the property, which is expected to welcome guests starting in early 2025.
