Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), a government of India organization that constructs rail infrastructure, was established in 2003. RVNL completes projects for the Ministry of Railways, including doubling, gauge conversion, new lines, electrification, bridges, workshops, and production units. The company develops, finances, and executes projects on a turnkey basis for customers such as Indian Railways, state and federal government ministries, and public sector projects.

Once more, two projects worth Rs. 5,608 crore were awarded to RVNL, a lower bidder

During Wednesday’s intraday trading, the shares of the state-owned Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) increased by 4.79%, reaching a peak of Rs 472.50 on the NSE. RVNL’s stock jumped after the company announced that it had been the lowest bidder for two projects worth roughly Rs 5,608 crore (Rs 5,008 crore and Rs 613 crore, respectively).

Aerial Telecom Solutions Consortium, or RVNL-HFCL, was the lowest bidder (L1) from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) for the “Development (Creation, Upgradation, and Operation & Maintenance) of Middle Mile Network of Bharat Net on the Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM) Model,” according to an exchange filing made by RVNL on November 5, 2024.

The RVNL declared

RVNL declared in a different filing that “RVNL-RPPL (JV) emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) (K-RIDE) for ‘Package C4A: Construction of Nine stations, i.e. Elevated (1 No.) and At-Grade (8 Nos.) BSRP Stations of Corridor-4A at Heelalige, Singena Agrahara, Huskur, Ambedkar Nagar, Carmelaram, Bellandur, Marathahalli, Doddanakundi, and Kaggadasapura, including Civil, Structural, Entry/Exit Structure, Steel FOB, Roof Structures, PEB works, Architectural finishes, E&M Works, and Detailed Design & Engineering (DOC) with all associated works for the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP).”

Movement and performance of RVNL stock

RVNL’s stock is currently up more than 3% at Rs. 466.30 per share. On the NSE, RVNL’s market capitalization is Rs 96,192.40 crore as of November 6, 2024. To date, the company has generated a 150% return.
