The Saarthi app serves as a robust companion to its website, seamlessly extending its functionality while offering an enriched and user-friendly experience. Boasting a sleek design and intuitive navigation, the app is designed to empower investors by providing a wealth of resources and tools.
In January 2024, the Indian financial markets regulator, SEBI, introduced a range of free tools and resources on its investor website and the Saarthi app as part of its investor education initiatives. Aimed at empowering both prospective and existing investors, these platforms offer guidance to help individuals make well-informed investment decisions.
“The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), as part of its mandate to safeguard the interests of investors in the securities market, has introduced a comprehensive suite of tools and resources on its official investor website to enhance investor awareness and education,” the regulator stated.
These tools and resources are designed to assist both new and experienced investors in navigating their investment journeys, the statement added.
SEBI’s investor website features a curated library of videos sourced from stock exchanges, depositories, and organisations such as the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE).
Interactive tools such as “Spot a Scam” allow users to evaluate the legitimacy of investment offers, while the financial health check-up tool provides an assessment of individual financial status, alongside suggestions for improvement.
Additionally, the regulator’s website offers 24 financial calculators to aid in investment planning and decision-making. The platform also includes links to verify the registration status of market intermediaries, compare the fees of depository participants, and access study materials for NISM certifications.
