Som Distilleries and Breweries Limited released its financial results for Q1 FY 2025.

The company reported a total income of ₹513.7 crores, a 33% increase compared to ₹386.6 crores in Q1 FY 2024. The company achieved an EBITDA of ₹64.8 crores, marking a nearly 30% growth from ₹50.1 crores in the previous year, with an EBITDA margin of 12.62% for Q1 FY 2025.

Interest costs have been reduced, with interest expenses as a percentage of sales dropping to 0.53% in Q1 FY 2025 from 0.80% in the same period last year. Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached ₹56 crores, a 32% increase from ₹42.6 crores in Q1 FY 2024.

The company’s Net Profit before minority interest rose to ₹40.5 crores, reflecting a 20.5% growth compared to ₹33.6 crores in Q1 FY 2024. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, net profit before minority interest surged by 102%.

Commenting on the financial performance, the Chairman of SOM Group of Companies, Mr JK Arora, said, “Our profit before tax rose by 31% year-over-year to ₹560 million. We recorded a 32% year-over-year increase in beer volume and a 14% rise in IMFL volume, showcasing the strength of our product portfolio and market strategies. Power Cool secured its position as the second most popular and highest-selling beer in Karnataka, while our flagship brand, Hunter, emerged as the single largest brand in the neutral market of Delhi for Q1 FY2025. These achievements underscore our market leadership and the effectiveness of our strategic initiatives.”

He further added, “Our focus remains on driving profitable growth and maintaining financial stability. We will continue to leverage our strengths to capitalise on market opportunities and enhance our competitive position in the industry.”
