Sonata Software has announced a significant modernisation deal with a global leader in access solutions. This multi-million-dollar transformation initiative will streamline and standardise the client’s business operations across 13 countries in the APAC region. The deal aims to ensure seamless operations and real-time engagement with customers, suppliers, distributors, and partners.

Modernising to D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management

As part of the transformation, Sonata Software will upgrade the client’s Dynamics AX 2012 R3 to the advanced D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management platform. The project includes migrating data from legacy systems, implementing a robust data platform with over 260 Power BI reports, and optimising advanced warehousing and planning processes. Pilot programs will be conducted in key markets such as Australia, New Zealand, and China. Additionally, Sonata Software will integrate an intelligence layer using Microsoft Fabric, enabling seamless and accelerated data-driven decision-making.

The deal was secured in Q1 FY25 and discussed during the July 31, 2024, earnings call. Over the past three decades, the company has strategically invested in Australia, leveraging its skilled workforce, business-friendly policies, and partnerships with local governments.

Strengthening Presence with New Initiatives

Sonata Software recently expanded its operations in Australia by launching a Centre of Excellence in partnership with the Victorian Government. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for generative AI and data solutions, further solidifying Sonata’s leadership in the modernisation engineering space.

Commenting on this achievement, the Chief Revenue Officer at Sonata Software, Anthony Lange, said, “Our efforts will focus on automating end-to-end processes, harnessing Microsoft’s comprehensive technology stack to improve scalability and facilitate adoption for the client. Through our digital transformation efforts, we will standardise and optimise their trading and manufacturing processes, integrate financial planning and monitoring, and simplify customisation and integration by leveraging industry best practices.”

On November 28, 2024, Sonata Software share price opened at ₹640.00, touching the day’s high at ₹649.00, as of 9:59 AM on the NSE.
