Star Health and Allied Insurance Company has launched Home Health Care services across 50 cities with an aim to deliver healthcare directly to customers’ doorsteps. Managing Director and CEO Anand Roy announced the expansion, highlighting the company’s commitment to customer-centric healthcare solutions.

The initiative, developed in collaboration with Portea, Care24, CallHealth, Argala and Athulya Homecare, offers in-home medical care nationwide. Initially piloted in Coimbatore, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, the service has now been rolled out to additional cities following positive feedback.

Customers can access the service through a toll-free number or the Star Health mobile app, allowing them to receive prompt medical attention for conditions such as fever, gastroenteritis, and urinary tract infections. The initiative ensures quick access to medication, diagnostic tests, and specialised care, with doctors available on-site within a short timeframe.

Dr U Hari Hara Sudan, Associate Vice President and Claims Head – Digital, Alternative Channels, highlighted that the comprehensive 5-day treatment package, including doctor and nurse fees, costs between ₹7,000 to ₹7,500, deducted from the insured sum. Patients requiring further care or hospitalisation will be referred to appropriate healthcare providers.

Star Health and Allied Insurance, with a vast network of offices, healthcare providers, agents, and employees, reported a strong performance in FY2024, underlining its robust presence and commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility nationwide. In FY 2024, the company reported a gross written premium of ₹15,254 crore and a net profit of ₹845 crore.

In June 2024, the company launched a 50-day outreach program across Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana, highlighting the importance of health insurance. Star Health and Allied Insurance stated that they aim to reach out to more than 2.5 lakh individuals across 51 districts.
