Sterlite Technologies Limited has unveiled its new high-density 864F Micro Cables, engineered to provide fast and uninterrupted connectivity for dense fibre networks in the US. Featuring an impressive fibre density, the 864F Micro Cable can house 864 fibres within a diameter of just 11.4 mm, offering 1.5 times more fibres than a standard micro cable of the same size. It utilises STL’s advanced bend-insensitive HD A2 200-micron fibre, which enhances network performance and longevity.
Key benefits of the 864F cable include:
In addition to the 864F Micro Cable, STL introduced the Intelligently Bonded Ribbon (IBR) Armored cable, designed for easy installation with precise ribbon geometries that ensure superior mass fusion splicing. This UV-protected, lightweight, and flexible cable is ideal for various installation environments.
STL’s manufacturing facility in South Carolina is meeting the demands of federal and private broadband projects, including the BEAD Program. At the recent Fiber Connect event, STL also showcased its Optical Connectivity portfolio. With these high-capacity optical fibre cables, STL is now equipped with a comprehensive Optical Networking portfolio tailored for the region.
Supported by a 200-strong team at its South Carolina base, STL continues to advance its mission to enhance connectivity across America.
Commenting on this development, the Managing Director of STL, Ankit Agarwal, said, “We believe in developing Optical products relevant to the regional market context. These high-density Optical fibre cables provide unmatched scalability, speed and cost-efficiency for services providers deploying high-density networks. These products ensure the future readiness of networks and reinforce our commitment to connecting America, promising unparalleled value for our customers.”
