On November 22, 2024, at 07:45 AM, the GIFT Nifty futures were trading 30 points lower at 23,435.50. The benchmark index Sensex ended the session at 77,156, a decline of 423 points or 0.5% in the previous session. Likewise, the Nifty 50 ended at 23,350, a drop of 169 points or 0.7%.

  • Adani Group Stocks

On Thursday, a major sell-off was witnessed in Adani Group stocks, which led to a sharp decline in the net worth of the Gautam Adani family. The Adani family’s net worth recorded a hit of 20% on Thursday to around ₹7.8 trillion from ₹9.8 trillion on Tuesday.

  • Telecom Companies

The shares of telecom companies such as Reliance Industries (RIL), Vodafone IdeaBharti AirtelMTNL, and others will be in focus as the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) releases subscribers’ data.

  • Tata Power

Tata Power signed an initial pact with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to evaluate financing worth $4.25 billion for its several strategic projects.

  • Hyundai Motor India

The newly listed automaker, Hyundai Motor India, plans to establish two renewable energy (RE) plants in Tamil Nadu to meet its 100% renewable electricity dependency target across its manufacturing operations by 2025.

  • Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland has decided to set up a light commercial vehicle dealership in West Bengal, as part of plans to expand its footprint in the eastern region

  • NTPC

The wholly owned subsidiary, NPTC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), of NTPC, has entered into a joint venture with the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP). As part of this collaboration, NGEL will invest ₹1.87 trillion to develop renewable energy projects across the state.

  • Infosys

Infosys has been slapped with a tax penalty of $3.28 million for the period from Q3CY19 to Q1CY24 by the Georgia Department of Labour.

  • SJVN

SJVN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government’s energy department to develop renewable energy.
