Thomas Cook Expands Presence with New Resort in Udaipur

On July 15, 2024, Thomas Cook (India) Limited announced via a stock exchange filing that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sterling Holiday Resorts, has opened Sterling Aravalli Udaipur in Rajasthan. This marks the third resort in Udaipur and the sixth in the state.

Set on 2.5 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with stunning views of the Aravalli Hills, the resort has been purpose-built as an iconic destination wedding venue in Udaipur, known as the destination wedding capital. With 40,000 sq. ft. of manicured lawns and various banquet venues accommodating over 5,000 guests for multiple pre/post ceremonies, it is ideal for lavish weddings.

The entire resort can also be reserved for intimate and exclusive weddings, providing complete privacy and flexibility for the wedding party. Guests can enjoy live streaming, engaging activities, curated theme decor, a selection of grand menus, and dedicated wedding managers to oversee every detail from planning to execution, ensuring a relaxed and memorable occasion.

Sterling Aravalli Udaipur is inspired by the traditional haveli architecture that reflects the palatial Rajasthani style, featuring Jharokas on the façade and inner walls. The resort offers 67 spacious rooms and suites, including Classic Rooms, Haveli Rooms, Premier Rooms with pool views, luxurious Privilege Suites overlooking the Aravalli ranges, and a Four Bedroom Haveli Suite that pays tribute to the region’s vintage architectural heritage.

Dining options include ‘Airavat,’ a fine-dining vegetarian restaurant known for its signature Rajasthani cuisine and popular global favourites. Additional amenities such as a central courtyard swimming pool and an upcoming Signature Spa and Lounge Bar enhance the overall guest experience.

Sterling’s other properties in Rajasthan include Sterling Jaisinghgarh Udaipur, Sterling Balicha Udaipur, Sterling Mount Abu, Sterling Rewild Sariska, and Sterling Pushkar.
