Thomas Cook Expands with New Franchise in South Bopal, Ahmedabad

On October 4, 2024, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, a leading omnichannel travel services company, opened a new franchise outlet in South Bopal, Ahmedabad. 

This new location aims to tap into the growing travel demand in the city, especially during the festive seasons like Diwali and summer. Located in a popular residential area with easy access to transport hubs like the airport and railway stations, the South Bopal outlet is Thomas Cook’s fourth location in Ahmedabad and its tenth in Gujarat.

The new outlet offers a range of services, including international and domestic holiday packages, cruises, and travel insurance. It also provides a seamless booking experience through Thomas Cook’s AI platform, which helps customers plan and book their vacations in real-time. The outlet is designed to cater to different customer groups, including families, millennials, business travellers, and seniors.

Travel trends from Ahmedabad show that Gujaratis are frequent travellers. In addition to peak vacation seasons, they are taking advantage of public holidays and weekends for shorter trips. Group tours remain popular, especially those with Gujarati-speaking guides and vegetarian food options. New destinations like Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia are becoming more popular due to easy visa processes and better connectivity. There’s also rising interest in luxury travel, including cruises to places like Dubai, Singapore, and Egypt. Popular international destinations include Japan, Switzerland, and the USA, while domestic favourites are Kashmir, Kerala, and Ladakh. Pilgrimage travel also continues to see high demand, with places like Kashi, Rameswaram, and Varanasi attracting visitors.
