Today, the Nifty index hit a new record high of 21,505 but couldn’t sustain that level. The Nifty chart shows a “hanging man” pattern, indicating a struggle between buyers and sellers. The candle has a thin body, a short upper wick, and a longer lower wick. Despite the battle, Nifty managed to close in the green at 21,453.1, up 0.16% from yesterday’s closing.

Market breadth stood neutral as the advance-decline ratio was at 1:1

In terms of sectors, Nifty Infrastructure and Nifty Pharma were the top gainers, while Nifty IT and Nifty Private Bank were the biggest losers.

Looking at broader market indices, Nifty Midcap fell by 0.38% to 45,512.45, and Nifty Smallcap 100 closed slightly negative, down by -0.12% at 14,951.20.
