Market volatility increased, as indicated by a 2.17% rise in India VIX, which closed below 15. Sectorally, there were no top gainers, with Nifty Energy, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Metal among the top losers.

The broader market reflected negative sentiment, with 909 advancing stocks compared to 3,010 declining stocks.
