The Nifty 50 kicked off the session with a steady opening at 19,809.6. Throughout the day, the market displayed a candle characterised by wicks on both ends and a small body, signalling a sense of indecision among investors.

The struggle to breach the 19,800 level persisted, evident in the charts. Notably, for the sixth consecutive session, Nifty closed within the high and low range observed during the November 16th trading session.

Analysing sectoral indices, the day witnessed Nifty Pharma and Nifty Metal emerging as the top-performing sectors. On the flip side, Nifty IT and Nifty FMCG played the role of significant draggers on market performance.

Shifting focus to broader market indices, Nifty Smallcap 100 and Midcap exhibited a relatively subdued performance, maintaining a flat trajectory.
