Nifty 50 and Sensex opened flat on Tuesday, pausing the previous three-day rally. Nifty opened at 19,404.05, reached almost exactly the same high as yesterday of 19,423.50, and closed at 19,406.70, down 5 points (-0.03%) from yesterday’s close.

Nifty ended the day by making a Doji pattern, which is a candlestick pattern that signals indecision or neutrality. This suggests that the market is taking a breather after the recent rally.

Sectorally, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Oil and Gas were notable gainers, while Nifty Realty declined the most along with Nifty Oil and Gas.

As far as broad market indices are concerned, Nifty Smallcap 100 closed up 0.75% and Nifty Midcap 100 closed up 0.28%, outperforming the benchmark indices.
