Top Losers of the Day – HDFC Life, NTPC, Cipla, SBI Life, Hindustan Unilever On December 2, 2024

On December 2, 2024, the benchmark stock indices ended the first session of December with gains. The BSE Sensex rose by 445.29 points, or 0.56%, closing at 80,248.08. It traded between 80,337.82 and 79,308.95 during the day. Early in the session, the index fell below 80,000 due to India’s GDP data for the September quarter, which was much lower than expected. 

Also, concerns about US President-elect Donald Trump’s threat to impose 100% tariffs on BRICS nations if they weaken the dollar’s dominance in global trade affected the market. Similarly, the NSE Nifty50 closed at 24,276.05, gaining 144.95 points or 0.6% from the previous session. The Nifty50 traded between 24,301.70 and 24,008.65 on Monday.

HDFC Life Insurance Company share price closed today at ₹640.2, marking a decline of 2.67%.

• NTPC

NTPC share price closed today at ₹358.35, marking a decline of 1.46%.

• Cipla 

Cipla share price closed today at ₹1,513.00, marking a decline of 1.36%. The company’s promoters plan to sell up to 1.72% of their stake through block deals. The offer price is expected to be set at ₹1,442 per share, with the total block deal size estimated at ₹2,000 crore.

• Sbi Life Insurance Company

Sbi Life Insurance Company share price closed today at ₹1,422.50, marking a decline of 1.06%. 

• Hindustan Unilever

Hindustan Unilever share price closed today at ₹2,479.00, marking a decline of 0.69%.
